July 10-11, 10am-4pm
Professor Janet Siegel Rogers
Explore the action and interaction of color through hands-on experiments with renowned artist and FAU professor Janet Siegel Rogers. A sequence of interrelated problems develops the participant’s sensitivity and awareness of color and its uses. Whether you are interested in quilting, painting, sewing, scrapbooking, art appreciation, home decoration and design, teaching, or just learning more about color in the world around us, this class is for you!
This workshop will introduce students to Josef Albers’ color study course, taught in fine arts programs around the world. (School teachers will receive a certificate of participation equal to 10 CEUs.) Our affiliation with the artist allows Crafters Quarters to offer this $250 workshop at a deeply-discounted price!
After you complete this workshop, you will be ready to continue the discovery in Experiments in Color - Part II!
Equipment: All equipment for this course will be supplied by Crafters Quarters.
Lunch: Please bring a brown-bag lunch to this class. A refrigerator, freezer, toaster, and microwave are available for your use.
