In this 2-day seminar Deby will show you how to do the basics for all of your upholstery projects!
Bring in an ottoman or a dining room-style chair and your new fabrics… In just two sessions you will have learned all the basic skills you need to upholster any piece in your house!
- Planning your fabric and designing the look
- Making and attaching cording, skirts, etc.
- Assembling fabric, batting, cushions, and more to the structure for stability
- Fitting all the elements for a well executed piece
Materials and Equipment List
- Furniture piece: an ottoman or dining-room style chair.
- Fabrics: Before the first class, please come to CQ on a Wednesday evening at 6 pm for a FREE consultation with Deby about appropriate fabric choices and other requirements for the look you want.
- Sewing Machine: with zipper and regular presser feet.
- A few other tools will be provided by CQ and Deby for students to share. Deby will list the tools you will use in the next session so you can bring your own if you wish.
