August 22, 1 - 5 pm

Join our resident surface design artist Lisa Phillips for a fun day outside.  Share in Lisa’s discovery of using sunshine & shadows, textile paints, flowers & plants, and your own designs to create unique prints on beautiful silk scarves! By the end of this workshop you will have created at least two unique, sun printed, silk scarves. You will also have the option to purchase additional blank scarves if you want to make more.

Materials: Wear old, comfy clothing, and sunscreen. You may also want to bring a hat, sunglasses, and a beverage. Bring objects–such as plants, flowers, paper cut-outs, lace, even CDs– that you feel may cast interesting shadows on your silk scarves.

Class Fees: Workshop fee is $40 ($30 for members) and materials fee is $20.

In Case of Rain: If it rains or becomes overcast, we will continue the class inside.
