Ship out this Columbus weekend to discover the famed fabric shopping in New York City!
Visit the amazing fabric and embellishment shops on this fun-filled day-trip to the fashion and garment district of New York.
Itinerary for Saturday, October 10:
- 6am - Depart from Amesbury, MA
- 10am(ish) - Arrive in NYC, drop off in fashion district
- All day - Shop, shop, (snack a little) and shop some more!
- 7pm - Depart from NYC
- 11pm(ish) - Arrive back in Amesbury, exhausted and happy — your mind buzzing with project ideas and arms filled with exotic goodies!
We will not have a specific, set itinerary while in New York. Instead each explorer will be given a list of suggested shops and events — including full descriptions, mapped locations, and appropriate contact information.
Explore shops and museums that are entirely dedicated to whatever objects you fancy…
- Beads, buttons, trims, and other embellishments
- Home decoration fabrics
- Garment and quilting fabrics
- Yarn & other needlework items
- Fashion and crafting industry museums
- And so much more!
Included in the price of the trip:
- Transportation with a professional, local transportation company to/from the garment district of NYC, including:
- Seat in a comfortable 25-passenger mini-bus
- Professional driver
- Driver gratuity
- Map, lists, and information about many fabric and embellishment shops in NYC — all close to the drop off/pick up point
- Descriptions and locations of several fiber-related events in the local museums
- Bottled water for each explorer
- Peace of mind — you don’t have to worry about driving, parking in the city, tolls, fuel, etc.
- Great companionship — you’ll be exploring the fashion district with interesting folks just like you!
Pricing for this fabulous day:
The cost for this trip will depend on how many people we get on the minibus… Bring your friends and save more money!
- 12-15 passengers: $125 per person
- 16-20 passengers: $100 per person
- 21+ passengers: $80 per person
Current passenger count as of October 6th: 14 (+Jensi and a helper). If only 2 more people sign up, everyone will save money!
Upon reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $50 per person will be due. The balance is due by October 9th @5pm. Payment may be made at the CQ studio or online (see PayPal buttons below.)
