About the Instructors
Ann’s love of the featherweight sewing machine developed after she started quilting. She then discovered the world of vintage sewing machines. Needing someone to help with the maintenance she persuaded George to help out. George and Ann are members of ISMACS (International Sewing Machine Antique Collectors Society) and have attended their conventions in the U.S. George has taken classes at the conventions from Graham Forsythe, the national guru of FWs. Ann was a master clothing volunteer in Mississippi. They have taught classes on sewing machine maintenance in Mississippi, New Hampshire, and now Massachusetts. George has refinished several FW cardtables while Ann hides in her sewing room using her featherweights.
