Knit for Charity! FREE!

Posted January 10th, 2010 by jensi

Knit for newborns!Every other Sunday, 4 - 6 pm

Upcoming schedule: March 27

New sessions!  New projects!  New stitches!

Experienced knitter and volunteer instructor Gail Picard has devised a new charitable program to teach you a whole bunch of new stitches as well as donate knitted afghans to Neighbors Helping Newborns!  Whether you are a beginner or experienced knitter, we invite you to spend every other Sunday with us creating various patches that will be sewn together to make adorable newborn knitted blankets.

Crafters Quarters is honored to donate the space for this wonderful program.  As before, all of the materials have been donated, so come help us make this charitable drive a success!

A special thank you to Gail and everyone who contributed last time, allowing us to donate over 200 newborn hats, sweaters, and more!

Due to the dexterity needed to knit some of the small stitches, this charitable program will only be available to adults.

Equipment:

Yarn has been generously donated by the instructor and other fabulous Crafters Quarters members!  All you will need to bring are a pair of size 7 knitting needles.

Enrollment:

Please call us to let us know you will be attending this wonderful, charitable, class.  Thanks!  978-388-8000

This is a FREE event! Please help a wonderful cause!  All we request is that you donate your knitted squares to Neighbors Helping Newborns. Don’t put off learning to knit while you have this wonderful opportunity.  We will continue these workshops as long as we have enough knitters, so come on in!
