Better bindings by AnnSeptember 12; 3:30-6:30pm

Come learn Ann’s easy way to add the finishing touch to your quilt.  The binding is the final frame and just as important as the rest of your quilt…  Ann’s stress-free binding techniques result in straight binding with gorgeous mitered corners.  You can even make scrappy bindings with different fabrics!

Learn how to choose the fabric, miter the corners, and make the beginning & ending blend together.  Finish either with decorative stitching or by hand sewing.

Supplies (items marked with an asterisk [*] are available to borrow or far sale at Crafters Quarters)

  • Sewing machine (sewing machines are available for CQ at no additional charge, please call to reserve in advance)
  • *Neutral thread
  • *Marking tool and small ruler
  • *2 or 3 fabrics to audition
  • Small completed project, or layered sandwich consisting of top, batting and backing at least 12 x 14 inches rectangle.
  • Binding clips (optional)
  • *Hand sewing needle (optional)
  • *Thread that matches binding or backing (optional)
  • *Thimble (optional)

Workshop fee:  $30 (Members:  $20)
