Use scrap fabrics (ours or yours) to create quilt tops to warm children in need! We need your help to sew quilts for a wonderful local charity: Blankets for Kids. We will have plenty of scrap material already cut, and some simple but beautiful patterns to design the quilts. All we will need are volunteers to piece them together! Pick up some quilting piecing tips and techniques, hone your skills, hang out with fun folks, and do some good for children in need! Read more >

Hurricane Irene is coming to town and the Governor has declared a State of Emergency in the Commonwealth. We are closing the CQ Studio on Sunday, August 28, to encourage everyone to stay off the roads.

Crafters Quarters Quilting Associate Cathy Breitkreutz will show you how to create beautiful keepsake holiday bows from ribbons. You will never have to buy bows again! Bring a needle, thread, and thimble, in addition to your favorite trims and ribbons. The materials fee includes a reusable bow-making template.

Calling all paper piecers–and paper-piecer wannabes! Ellen Vidal has the club for you! Bring your own project and get together with other paper-piecing aficionados. Pick up tips and tricks from Ellen and other members. Browse through Ellen’s paper-piecing books for inspiration. And, if you do not already know how to paper piece, fear not! Ellen will show you how to use this awesome technique to create blocks with absolutely sharp points and wonderful detail.
